Dialectical Behavior Therapy

Dialectical Behavior Therapy or DBT is a type of cognitive-behavioral therapy developed by Marsha Lineman as a comprehensive approach to managing borderline personality disorder. Over the years, DBT’s effectiveness was supported in research and clinical settings. Eventually, clinicians and researchers began applying DBT-skills to a variety of issues, such as anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and eating disorders.
