Building healthy relationships with my clients is my top priority. We are going to be diving deep into some hard work together. In order to do it, we have to establish safety, stability, and trust. I specialize in working with individuals and couples who have been impacted by trauma. I integrate acceptance-based CBT with an interpersonal approach.
I have training and experience in EMDR, the Gottman Method, the biopsychosocial model of health, and posttraumatic growth. This means I use a holistic lens to approach each client’s unique needs. I don’t just want to help get rid of the things you don’t want. I want you to figure out what you DO want and start moving toward it.
Things are never so bleak that we can’t find something to laugh about.
I love to geek out over music, movies, books, basically anything creative. I have a strong connection to the performing arts in my own life. I also love getting to know the things you enjoy so we can incorporate them in our work.
If you’re not ready for feeling your feelings or awkward silences, I’m probably not the therapist for you. I think the life you want is possible for you, but getting there will probably be uncomfortable. I will gladly sit in that discomfort with you as you look at all the things you wish were different about your life. I’ve been doing this long enough to trust the process and feel hopeful even when you don’t.
As a member of PSYPACT, I can provide telehealth sessions in most states. Check out the PSYPACT map to see if you are in a participating state.
Sorry kids. I only work with adults.
My schedule is typically full at least 3 months in advance and it can be difficult for me to accommodate new clients. This is one of the reasons we decided to grow our team. If I can’t accommodate you, I can help you find one of our team members that I think would be a good fit for your specific needs.
